Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a Manager, Capital Expenditures to lead the accounting, reporting, and budgeting of capital expenditures across hospital and specialty group departments. You will oversee fixed asset accounting, ASC 842 leases, and capital budgeting while partnering with Finance, Supply Chain, and Audit teams.

The role emphasizes independence, cross‑functional collaboration, and governance over capital activity, ensuring compliance with regulations and board reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience with fixed assets, capital budgeting, or GL functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all capital activity within the Oracle fixed assets module (additions, disposals, transfers, adjustments).
• Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization journal entries.
• Maintain fixed asset records (tags, useful lives, depreciation methods).
• Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Accounts Payable on capital projects.
