Job summary

Portland General Electric (PGE) is seeking a Project Cost Engineer to support capital construction budgets, forecasts and cost control across generation, transmission and distribution projects in Oregon. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Two+ years in a technical field for P2 or five+ years for P3 in a regulated utility or large projects.
• Experience in utility cost control management and forecasting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide project controls for capital projects including budgeting, forecasts and cost management.
• Maintain budgets, baselines, funding forecasts and change logs.
• Analyze processes and improve efficiency, reporting KPIs and metrics.
• Develop and report on financial metrics; support regulatory filings and management reviews.
• Design and implement project controls; update forecasts in systems.
• Monitor projects and communicate variances and changes to stakeholders.
• Prepare timely cost reports and keep documentation up to date.
• Administer project management databases and tools; support data integrity.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and provide clear communications.
