Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Engineer to drive capacity planning and investment strategy, focusing on identifying production constraints and optimizing tool allocation. You will model capacity gaps, coordinate with Fab Engineering & Production leadership to maximize ROI and meet monthly output plans, including the 17nm ramp and related tool investments.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Capacity Planning or Production Strategy.
• Strong analytics and forecasting skills.
• Experience with data modeling and Python/SQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze factory bottlenecks for long- and short-term planning.
• Close capacity gaps and drive actions to completion.
• Perform line analysis and supply chain forecasting to boost throughput.
• Investigate bottlenecks using plans, tool performance metrics, and capacity projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to improve output using scheduling systems.
• Work with engineering teams to optimize daily operations and tool performance.
• Conduct equipment efficiency analyses and implement improvements.
