Job summary

Exelon is seeking an engineer to contribute to planning, design, construction, and maintenance of its utility infrastructure, including transmission, distribution, and substations. You will analyze complex systems, perform calculations, prepare specifications, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will support project execution, perform field inspections, and participate in system planning and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• General knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices for a discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer (70%).
• Performs engineering tasks on large or multiple small projects (10%).
• May direct engineering tasks on large projects (10%).
• Evaluates effectiveness of current technical systems and processes; participates on teams (10%).
