Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a capacity management professional to coordinate access initiatives, partnering with the CM and HITS teams to optimize scheduling builds and workflows. You will translate data insights into actionable improvements, monitor performance, and align projects with organizational access goals.

The role requires experience in ambulatory access operations, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3–5 years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with healthcare practice operations, ambulatory access management, EHR scheduling workflows, or clinician schedules/templates/grids.
• Strong project management skills to plan, execute and monitor initiatives using structured methodologies.
• Proven ability to facilitate meetings and manage conflicts effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Copilot/AI.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant between specialty, Capacity Management (CM) team, and HITS to review/approve/support scheduling build maintenance and optimization.
• Coordinate and lead design workgroups for capacity optimization initiatives, develop project plans, and monitor delivery.
• Prepare metrics summaries for leadership and align access goals with organizational priorities.
• Analyze provider activity versus projections to inform budgeting and forecasting.
• Review change requests for alignment with standards and coordinate necessary approvals.
• Collaborate with CM Analyst to document build standards and rationale.
