Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking a Capabilities Portfolio Analyst to support portfolio management for USTRANSCOM capabilities development and investment decision-making in Belleview, IL. The role requires a SECRET clearance and a strong background in analytics and portfolio processes.

The successful candidate will develop statements, evaluate portfolio management processes, and help collect and analyze information from OSD and Joint Staff to support capability-based portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, and Project Management related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years related experience in similar positions.
• Exceptional analytical skill and a methodical approach to work activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, and executive teams.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting, assessing, and exploring efforts necessary to develop capabilities to refine USTRANSCOM processes and to improve and influence the requirements management and investment decision-making process across USTRANSCOM capability areas.
• Develop problem statements, mission needs statements, or similar.
• Compare and evaluate current portfolio management processes and identify ways to evolve it into a capabilities portfolio management process.
• Collect and assess required OSD and Joint Staff process information to assist USTRANSCOM to develop a capabilities-based portfolio management process.
• Assist in the change management effort to implement USTRANSCOM's capabilities portfolio management process, to include leading meetings, as required, and capturing meeting minutes.
