Job summary

RBC is seeking an Internal Audit Analyst-Capital Markets in Jersey City to provide coverage across RBC Capital Markets US. You will participate in audits of multiple business units, perform walkthroughs, sampling, design assessments, and testing of key controls, while ensuring compliance with RBC methodology and IIA standards.

You will identify high-value observations, document findings, and support continuous monitoring and enterprise-wide projects as needed by senior management.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or finance.
• Proven ability to produce well written work products and effective communication with value-added observations/recommendations.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem solving and negotiating skills to mitigate conflicts.
• Proficient time management, organizational, and project management skills with ability to pivot on multiple deliverables with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support internal audit coverage of the Capital Markets U.S. business with specialization of one or more underlying business units.
• Perform detailed audit steps including walkthroughs, sampling, design assessments and operational effectiveness testing of key controls.
• Ensure audits adhere to RBC internal audit methodology and IIA standards.
• Identify high-value audit observations and communicate with stakeholders for agreement.
• Document findings and assess impact of recommendations.
• Participate in complex enterprise-wide audit projects as needed by senior management.
• Maintain working paper evidence of findings.
• Support continuous monitoring activities by reviewing data and meeting with key stakeholders.
• Support other internal audit groups in executing their plans.
