Job summary

The Arlington Heights Park District is seeking a CAP Site Director to lead the before/after school program at assigned school sites within Districts 25, 59, and 21. The role involves planning activities, supervising staff, and ensuring safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities include coordinating calendars, communicating with school staff, and maintaining program supplies while enforcing CAP guidelines and training new staff. This is a part-time position with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or related field and experience with children.
• Background checks (ISP fingerprint, DCFS CANTS) may be required.
• CPR/AED certification required and the ability to work with school staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, lead, and supervise CAP activities for children at play.
• Supervise Assistant Site Directors and Activity Leaders.
• Communicate with school staff daily and distribute calendars.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety and adherence to guidelines.
• Schedule staff and coordinate with CAP Supervisor for coverage.
