Job summary

New England Smart Energy in Connecticut is seeking Canvassers to join our door-to-door sales team. The role emphasizes customer engagement, a soft-sell approach, and scheduling free home energy assessments with no upfront costs.

Starting pay is $24 per hour plus uncapped commission. Weekly earnings for those who meet quota typically range from $400 to $500, with top performers earning $1,000 per week or more. Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese) are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in entry level sales, retail or customer service.
• Willing to talk to strangers for a soft-sell approach.
• Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Cantonese preferred.

New England Smart Energy is hiring Canvassers starting at $24 per hour plus commission (Employees meeting quota earn: $400-$500 per week with top performers earning $1,000 per week or more!), along with tremendous growth opportunity within the company. Commission is uncapped.

Responsibilities

Use your people skills from previous entry level sales roles, retail or customer service positions to engage directly with your community going door to door with your canvassing team. Plus enjoy a fantastic team culture! The primary goal of this position is customer acquisition, so if you don’t mind talking to strangers then you’ll do great here! This is a \"soft sale\" as you aren't trying to get the customer to do an immediate purchase, rather it's scheduling a free home energy assessment without any upfront costs/obligations. While not required, we are also looking for bilingual candidates who are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Cantonese.
