Job summary

Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Hagerstown, MD seeks a Cantor for a part-time role up to 5 hours per week. The Cantor will lead musical worship, rehearse with the choir, and provide vocal guidance to choir members, working with the Music Director to select hymns and songs.

The ideal candidate has musical talent and experience, strong diction, and a Catholic faith aligned with parish life. This is not a benefits-eligible position.

Job description

Saint Mary's Catholic Church, located in Hagerstown, Maryland, seeks candidates for a Cantor. With the Music Director and music ministers, the Cantor proclaims the Word through song and leads the congregation in song at Mass, facilitating the spirited and joyful worship of the assembly. The Cantor rehearses with the choir weekly, and prior to Sunday Mass. At rehearsals, the Cantor will provide knowledgeable and creative support to the Music Director and choir.This is a part-time position working up to 5 hours per week.

• Lead the Congregation in Musical worship during Services
