Job summary

A religious organization in St. Louis is seeking a Cantor to lead sung prayer within the liturgical life of the parish. The ideal candidate will foster congregation participation and collaborate with the Music Director in selecting appropriate music. Qualifications

• Strong vocal ability with clear diction and expression for liturgical music.
• Basic music reading skills and familiarity with Catholic liturgical repertoire.
• Understanding of Catholic liturgy including the Mass structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational singing at Masses, weddings, and other celebrations.
• Proclaim the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel Acclamation.
• Collaborate with the Music Director in selecting liturgical music.
• Attend rehearsals and prepare music for liturgies.
• Support active participation through confident leadership.
