Job summary

TheKey in Union City, CA is seeking a Memory Care Professional to provide non-medical companionship for clients living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. You will deliver person-centered, activity-based care focused on luxury-brand customer service to improve mood and quality of life for clients and families.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities across six areas, driving your own vehicle to outings, and working mostly daytime shifts with a Cantonese-speaking requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• Minimum of 1 year Dementia/Alzheimer care experience.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle with current registration and insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Home Care Aide clearance with the State of CA.

• The MCP facilitates activities that are designed to meet the clients’ fundamental needs and provide meaningful moments throughout the day, even as the disease progresses.
• To provide meaningful, individualized care for clients, the MCP focuses on creating activities that engage their abilities in six key areas: social, emotional, physical, nutritional, intellectual and spiritual.
• Using this approach to person-centered, activity-based care, the MCP can assure almost every day will be a good one because it is filled with joy, dignity and meaning.
• Must be able to drive own vehicle to and from outings and appointments.

Cases range from short shift with flexible schedules (mostly daytime shifts) to long hour cases pay OT + $350 Sign on bonus through Care Rewards - terms and conditions apply
