Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Canning Crewleader to provide frontline leadership in the Canning Department, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production.

The role includes skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and training of seasonal employees to maintain product flow and equipment uptime. You will support setup, start-up, and changeover activities, communicate equipment issues, and uphold safety, food safety, and quality standards across canning operations while coordinating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, adjust, and repair industrial production equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems with basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to safely use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and precision measuring devices including micrometers.
• Ability to provide day-to-day work direction, training, and operational guidance to seasonal employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of canning room machinery and equipment.
• Maintain and repair seamers, fillers, crate loaders, slicers, seed reels, add-water systems, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs to restore operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to support reliability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and train seasonal employees in the Canning Department.
• Monitor equipment and production to ensure safe and efficient product flow.
