Story Cannabis is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Phoenix to lead a high-performing team across customer service, training, product knowledge, and safety compliance. You will partner with the General Manager to drive top-line sales growth and optimize store operations.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in a high-volume cannabis retail environment, and the ability to coach staff, manage KPIs, and ensure inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of management experience in high-volume retail, cannabis experience preferred.
• Experience with point of sale systems and backend compliance tools (Dutchie, Metrc).
• Strong leadership and ability to recruit/train staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Analytical with ability to set and track store KPIs.
• Open availability with no scheduling conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth.
• Maintain inventory controls and ensure compliance standards.
• Coach, train and develop staff aligned with company goals.
• Monitor KPIs and leverage data to drive labor costs and training opportunities.
• Help hire, train and onboard new staff in the dispensary.
• Support day-to-day operations and partner with internal teams (marketing, retail ops, supply chain).
