Job summary

Minnesota Cannabis Services is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead dispensary floor operations, develop staff, manage cash and inventory, and uphold a compliant, customer-first environment. This high-impact role fits a fast-paced, regulated retail setting and offers growth in cannabis leadership.

You will supervise, mentor, and train retail employees, handle incident reports, and ensure attendance policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer service experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Cannabis industry experience a plus but not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment.
• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory software; cannabis seed-to-sale experience a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to 8 hours.
• Must meet all state requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure adherence to SOPs and company policies.
• Manage shift coverage, staffing adjustments, and timesheet accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations and internal procedures.
• Support change management and communicate SOP updates to staff.
