Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Quality Technician in West Haven, CT to verify raw ingredients, materials, packaging, and finished products meet regulatory standards and company expectations.

You will support the Quality Department, perform inspections, sample in-process and finished goods, ensure proper documentation, and assist with non-conformances and corrective actions while upholding GMP and food-safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Experience in regulated industry (healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods or cannabis) highly desired.
• FDA, GMP, SQF and HACCP experience is highly desired.
• Strong experience with product sampling and inspection.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and follow procedures precisely.
• Ability to work variable day shifts as needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Quality Department and ensures all employees understand and follow SOPs.
• Perform incoming inspections of materials received and ensure compliance withSpecifications.
• Execute in-process and finished product sampling as required.
• Conducts positive release of all finished goods and review of documentation.
• Ensures good documentation practices and maintains records.
• Assist with segregation, control, and disposition of non-conforming product.
• Identify, recommend, and perform quality training as needed.
• Maintain and control of production quality records.
• Assist with investigation of root causes and corrective actions.
• Continually study the quality system and recommend improvements.
• Perform improvement projects and monitor GMP guidelines.
• Adhere to safe work practices and report issues affecting safety/quality.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Perform pre-operation inspection and sanitation verification.
• Perform allergen and environmental swabbing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
