This entry-level role offers room to learn and take on more responsibility. No cannabis experience is required, and we provide training to develop practical manufacturing skills.

Applicants must be 21+ and hold an active Colorado MED Employee License before regulated work. Schedule: Tue–Sat 8:30am–5:00pm, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and production of cannabis-infused edibles.
• Weigh, count, package and label finished products.
• Prepare ingredients, materials and workstations for production.

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and areas.

Job description

Nature's Herbs & Wellness is hiring a full-time Production & Packaging Associate for our cannabis edibles production facility in Milliken! This is an entry-level production position with room to learn and take on more responsibility. Previous cannabis experience is not required. We are interested in finding someone who is reliable, capable of following detailed procedures and interested in developing practical manufacturing skills. Experience in food production, commercial kitchens, bakeries, manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment or warehouse operations is useful, but we are willing to train the right person. Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Occasional overtime may be available when production needs require it.

Our Milliken production team manufactures and packages cannabis edibles, including gummies, tarts, mints and other infused products. Production & Packaging Associates work throughout the manufacturing process. Some days involve assisting with edible production and preparing materials. Other days may be focused primarily on weighing, packaging, labeling or preparing finished products for distribution.

Basic Functions of the Job:

• Assisting with the preparation and production of cannabis-infused edibles
• Weighing, counting, packaging and labeling finished products
• Preparing ingredients, materials and workstations for production
• Following recipes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and written production instructions
• Completing production, inventory and other required records accurately
• Performing basic quality checks on products and packaging
• Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools and work areas
• Maintaining an organized production environment
• Following company procedures and Colorado cannabis regulations
• Learning additional production processes and equipment as experience is gained

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• A strong candidate will be dependable, attentive to detail and able to follow established procedures without cutting corners. You should be comfortable learning new processes, working as part of a production team and asking questions when something isn't clear.
• Basic math skills are necessary for weighing, measuring and packaging. Employees must also be able to lift and move equipment or supplies weighing more than 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience in food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, bakeries, confectionery production, packaging, warehousing or general manufacturing can translate well to this position.
• Colorado cannabis requirements
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old to work in our licensed cannabis facility.
• Employees must also hold an active Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee License before beginning regulated cannabis work. This badge is obtained at the cost of the candidate/employee, and the company does not reimburse for this.
