Job summary

Story Cannabis is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee daily inventory control, supervise associates, and maintain organized stock across back-of-house and front-of-house areas. You will ensure proper storage, handling, and compliance while driving accuracy and efficiency in turnover.

The role emphasizes managing inventory processes, auditing, and training staff, with a focus on accuracy, regulatory adherence, and supporting retail operations. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; associate’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years inventory management experience; cannabis industry preferred.
• Marijuana knowledge strongly preferred.
• Must be 21+ with a valid state ID or U.S. passport.
• Reliable transportation and no scheduling restrictions.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Inventory Leads and Associates and delegate tasks.
• Monitor inventory levels using Dutchie, Lucid ID, and Metrc.
• Oversee receiving of shipments, ensure accuracy and quality.
• Tag and label inventory and update system records.
• Conduct daily inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain organization and storage protocols.
• Address and resolve inventory discrepancies immediately.
• Support the sales floor through restocking of inventory and breaking currency denominations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Maintain location-specific inventory in the system and in their physical locations.
• Generate and review inventory reports.
• Coordinate with buyers to place orders to replenish stock.
• Lead staff training sessions on inventory procedures.
• Review and update inventory processes and policies as needed.
• Manage the monthly overnight inventory audit, all associated reporting, follow-up investigations, and adjustments.
