Job summary

Minnesota Cannabis Services is hiring a seasonal Cannabis Harvest Crew to support harvest operations across licensed cultivation sites in Minnesota. This hands-on, physical role involves cutting, de-leafing, bucking, and hang-drying harvested plants while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to work long hours, and willing to start on short notice as harvest seasons peak.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to reliably arrive on time to assigned worksites, including rural locations, throughout Minnesota
• Available to start on short notice when harvest begins, and to work long days, weekends, and schedule changes driven by crop readiness and weather
• Able to maintain a steady working pace for a full shift while handling plants carefully
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a crew
• Able to meet all state requirements for employment at a licensed cannabis facility in Minnesota

Responsibilities

• Cut down mature cannabis plants and cut them into manageable sections and branches
• Remove fan leaves and excess plant material; de-leaf harvested plants and branches
• Buck or shuck flower from stalks when required
• Hang whole plants or branches in drying areas
• Load, unload, and move plants, branches, totes, bins, and other harvest materials
• Keep strains and harvest lots separated as instructed
• Help weigh and organize harvested material when needed
• Clean scissors, tools, totes, work areas, and harvest equipment
• Remove stalks, leaves, and plant waste, and keep the harvest area clean and organized
• Follow instructions from crew leads and site management
• Follow all site safety, security, and cannabis compliance procedures
• Perform other harvest-related duties as needed

About the Role

Minnesota Cannabis Services partners with licensed cannabis operators across cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. We are hiring dependable, hardworking people to join our seasonal Cannabis Harvest Crew, supporting harvest operations at licensed cultivation sites operated by our clients across Minnesota.

This is a hands-on agricultural position. The crew works together to cut plants, deleaf and buck material, hang plants and branches for drying, move harvested material, and keep harvest areas clean and organized. The work is physical, fast-paced, and time-sensitive: once harvest begins, plants need to be cut, processed, and moved into drying or storage efficiently.

Cannabis or farm experience is helpful but not required. We will train people who show up on time, work hard, follow directions, and work well with a crew.

What You Bring

Preferred:

• Previous cannabis, farm, orchard, vineyard, landscaping, construction, warehouse, or other physical labor experience

Physical Requirements

The following are essential functions of this position and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including plants, totes, and bins, repeatedly throughout the shift
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods, including full shifts from sunrise to sunset
• Perform repetitive hand and wrist work using scissors, pruners, and other sharp hand tools
• Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other seasonal weather, as well as in greenhouses, barns, and drying rooms
• Work in environments with plant dust, pollen, strong odors, and other potential allergens
