Job summary

Golden Grail Group is seeking an Extraction Technician to support cannabis extraction operations in our Bend, Oregon facility. The role involves operating extraction and processing equipment, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring compliance with OLCC regulations and company SOPs.

You will collaborate across production teams to optimize yield, quality, and efficiency while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.
  • At least one year of cannabis processing, extraction, manufacturing, or related production experience.
  • Working knowledge of cannabis extraction fundamentals and production workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate production records.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Commitment to safety, sanitation, and OLCC compliance.
  • Experience with METRC or seed-to-sale inventory systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate extraction and processing equipment per SOPs, including solventless methods.
  • Monitor process parameters and adjust to optimize yield and quality.
  • Prepare, stage, weigh, and handle raw materials and in-process products.
  • Support multiple production phases: material prep, extraction, post-processing, packaging handoff.
  • Inspect products for quality and conformance with standards.
  • Record weights, batch IDs, and production data in METRC and internal systems.
  • Identify and report abnormalities such as color changes, contamination, equipment issues.
  • Maintain clean, compliant work areas and proper storage of materials.
  • Coordinate with post-processing, inventory, and production teams.
  • Assist with equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
  • Support R&D, process improvements, and scaling as needed.

Pay: $22 - $26/hour

About the Role

The Extraction Technician supports and executes cannabis extraction and processing operations within a licensed Oregon facility. This hands‑on role operates extraction and processing equipment, prepares and tracks regulated materials, monitors product quality, and maintains accurate production records in accordance with company procedures.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and highly attentive to detail, with a working understanding of cannabis extraction principles, production workflows, and quality standards. This position works collaboratively across production functions to support consistent output while maintaining strict compliance with OLCC regulations, internal standard operating procedures, sanitation requirements, and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Operate extraction and processing equipment in accordance with established SOPs, including solventless or other approved extraction methods used by the facility.

Monitor process parameters and make authorized adjustments to support product yield, consistency, and quality.

Prepare, stage, weigh, and handle raw materials and in-process products throughout extraction and post‑processing activities.

Support multiple phases of production as needed, including material preparation, extraction, post-processing, and packaging handoff.

Inspect intermediate and finished products for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and conformity with established product standards.

Accurately collect, label, weigh, and track materials using the correct batch, product, and inventory information.

Identify and promptly report abnormalities, including color or odor variations, potential contamination, equipment concerns, and yield discrepancies.

Record input and output weights, process parameters, batch IDs, and other required production information in METRC and internal tracking systems.

Perform all work in accordance with OLCC regulations, company policies, safety requirements, sanitation standards, security protocols, and established SOPs.

Maintain clean, organized, compliant work areas and ensure materials, tools, and regulated products are stored appropriately.

Clean and sanitize extraction equipment, processing equipment, tools, and work areas according to established schedules and procedures.

Perform routine equipment inspections and promptly report malfunctions, damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to department leadership.

Assist with equipment calibration and the general upkeep of gauges, tools, and other production equipment as assigned.

Coordinate with post‑processing, packaging, inventory, and other production teams to maintain an efficient and accurate workflow.

Support research and development initiatives, process improvements, production scaling, and new‑product development as assigned.

Assist team members with assigned tasks and support broader department operations based on production and business needs.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must possess and maintain a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.

At least one year of experience in cannabis processing, extraction, manufacturing, or a comparable production environment.

Working knowledge of cannabis extraction fundamentals, production workflows, and product‑quality standards.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures and maintain complete, accurate production records.

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.

Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to work safely in variable‑temperature environments and around production machinery.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a licensed cannabis extraction facility.

Familiarity with METRC or another seed-to-sale inventory tracking system.

Experience with cannabis post-processing techniques, equipment calibration, or production scaling.

Previous experience supporting training, workflow coordination, or process improvement in a production environment.

Schedule & Working Conditions

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required based on production needs.

This position is on‑site and does not offer remote work opportunities.

Work involves exposure to loud machinery, heat, cold, strong odors, variable temperatures, and repetitive manual tasks.

Daily work includes handling cannabis plant material, extracted products, and finished goods.

Required PPE may include gloves, protective eyewear, hairnets, and other site‑specific safety equipment.

Hourly pay range of $22.00–$26.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
