Job summary

Parallel in Austin, TX is hiring an Edibles Production Associate to help produce cannabis-infused foods in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll follow approved recipes, measure ingredients, operate kitchen equipment, and ensure GMPs and safety standards are met.

This full-time role requires open availability, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to work evenings and weekends. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with potential to earn up to $19, plus hands-on training and career development.

Qualifications

• Open availability including evenings and weekends.
• Shifts starting as early as 8:00 AM.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, SOPs, and production instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Experience in commercial kitchens, bakeries, confectionery production, food manufacturing, or culinary operations.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cannabis-infused food and beverage products according to approved recipes, formulations, and production schedules.
• Accurately measuring, weighing, mixing, and portioning ingredients for dosage accuracy.
• Operating commercial kitchen and food production equipment (mixers, depositors, ovens, packaging, scales).
• Following GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and cannabis regulatory requirements.
• Staging ingredients, preparing batches, and verifying inventory prior to production runs.
• Monitoring production processes to maintain quality, appearance, texture, flavor, and consistency.
• Packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products per state regulations and company specs.
• Performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance of equipment and workstations.
• Completing production logs, batch records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborating with production, quality, and kitchen teams to support efficiency and improvement.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace.
