Job summary

Ayr Wellness in Virginia is seeking a Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to work closely with Pharmacists, providing exceptional patient care and consulting with patients and caregivers. Under pharmacist supervision, you will dispense approved medical cannabis products, support patient ID/registration, record retention, product tracking, and inventory control.

You must hold a Pharmacy Technician certification with an active state license, be 21 or older, and be available weekends.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Active State Pharmacy Technician license required.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
Customer-facing experience preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate the highest ethical standards.
Strong customer service mindset focused on patient care.
Ability to foster a collaborative, productive environment.
Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

Monitor and resolve problems in the prescription fulfillment process.
Promote and maintain the dispensary's professional reputation and provide patients with products and services.
Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescriptions as permitted by state.
Label products appropriately.
Input patient data and orders into the POS system.
Enter prescription data into applicable state systems.
Support all aspects of patient and customer service in a retail dispensary.
Maintain patient records, product tracking, and inventory control.
