Job summary

Ayr Wellness is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for our Virginia dispensary. You will oversee opening/closing, patient flow, inventory, and staff coaching to maintain a compliant, high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring product knowledge, managing scheduling, and supporting audits and regulatory adherence to Virginia Cannabis Control Authority. This role emphasizes leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration/License in good standing, or ability to obtain and maintain registration as required by Virginia law.
• 2+ years of retail, healthcare, or regulated operations experience.
• Strong leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness.
• Support patient intake, check-in flow, and order management (online, curbside, in-store).
• Supervise dispensary pharmacy techs and support staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor floor activity to ensure efficient service and minimal wait times.
• Maintain compliance with Virginia Cannabis Control Authority regulations and SOPs.
• Assist with staffing schedules and labor execution to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Provide coaching, onboarding, and training for retail associates; support leadership communications.
• Ensure end-of-day cash reconciliation and POS accuracy; escalate discrepancies to leadership.
