Job summary

Ayr Wellness seeks a Pharmacy Technician Lead for our Virginia dispensary. You will assist the Pharmacist General Manager in daily operations, oversee shifts, manage patient flow, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will coach staff, supervise inventory, and uphold service standards across the floor. Ideal candidates have a Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration, 2+ years in retail or healthcare, and strong leadership with a focus on customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration/License or ability to obtain/maintain as required by Virginia law.
• 2+ years of retail, healthcare, or regulated operations experience.
• Strong leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacist General Manager in executing all daily dispensary operations.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness.
• Ensure smooth execution of daily workflows including intake, order fulfillment, and patient flow.
• Monitor store performance and elevate issues to leadership as needed.
• Maintain operational consistency across all retail touchpoints.
• Supervise dispensary staff during assigned shifts and ensure product knowledge execution.
• Maintain sales floor readiness, including cleanliness and merchandising.
• Support leadership in driving key performance metrics.
• Assist with inventory control, receiving, stocking, and product movement.
• Ensure adherence to Virginia cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
• Assist with staffing and scheduling, timekeeping, and break compliance.
• Provide on-the-floor coaching and onboarding for new associates.
