Job summary

Vangst seeks a Cultivation Associate in Simsbury, CT to join a growing cannabis team. This hands-on role spans the plant lifecycle from clone to harvest, with cross-training and practical skill-building.

Qualifications

• Natural enthusiasm for plants and cannabis cultivation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong accuracy and consistency in every task.
• Proficient documentation, inventory control and scheduling.
• Good math and measurement skills, comfortable using a scale.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily plant care: cutting, rooting, transplanting, watering, feeding, trimming, staking and pruning.
• Monitor humidity, moisture and temperature to keep ideal growth conditions.
• Inspect plants for leaf health, bloom size, pests or disease and remove non-conforming plants.
• Assist with harvest: cut, trim, weigh product and record inventory electronically.
• Support the curing process: hang, dry-rack, monitor climate and log inventory data.
• Operate and maintain lighting, irrigation, climate-control systems; keep areas clean and stocked.
• Help during high-demand periods to prepare and package products, including premium extracts.
• Follow state regulations and security procedures for labeling and inventory entry.
