Job summary

Parallel is seeking a Facilities Technician for its brand-new cannabis cultivation facility in Gainesville, FL. The role focuses on maintaining critical building systems, ensuring a safe working environment, and supporting daily cultivation operations.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of maintenance experience, be proficient with hand and power tools, and able to read blueprints. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a pay rate of $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience maintaining and repairing building systems, equipment, and structures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all personal, facility, and departmental safety standards are consistently met.
• Operating, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining building components and systems, including electrical, HVAC, overhead doors, and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and validating successful operation after maintenance.
• Supporting the operation and maintenance of pumps, engines, motors, conveyors, compressors, laboratory equipment, and other mechanical systems.
• Repairing and maintaining facility structures based on work orders and operational needs.
