Job Description

Cannabis Concierge

Position: Hourly, non-exempt

Starting pay within the listed range is based on relevant experience, training, demonstrated skills, and job responsibilities. Tips are additional to base pay, may vary, and are not guaranteed.

About the Role

The Concierge is the first person every customer meets at Munchies. This is a hospitality role for someone who is warm, talkative, friendly, and naturally good with people.

You will welcome customers, check identification, learn why they are visiting, and direct them to the right place: Pickup, Register, Bud Bar, or the sales floor.

The Concierge is not a security guard. You are the host who sets the tone for the entire customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer promptly and professionally.
• Check acceptable identification and confirm customers are 21 or older.
• Check customers in.
• Stay informed about current deals, events, products, and store priorities.
• Keep the entrance and Concierge area clean and organized.
• Follow all Munchies and New York cannabis compliance procedures.
• Comfortable with technology and moving customers efficiently.
• Perform additional duties and support other store functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations.
• Minimum of one year of customer-facing hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or retail experience required.
• Cannabis experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to remain calm and welcoming during busy periods.
• Tech- savvy
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently.
• Able to perform the essential customer-service and retail duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Training

Munchies provides required OCM and store training within 30 days of employment. Required training is provided at no cost and completed during paid working time. Employees must complete all required initial and ongoing training.
