Job summary

State of Ohio, Department of Commerce in Columbus, OH, seeks an Attorney 5 for Cannabis Compliance. The position supports licensing and regulation of medical and non-medical cannabis programs, and coordinates with the Attorney General’s office on prosecutions.

Responsibilities include investigating enforcement, handling hearings, and guiding inspectors; requires Ohio Bar admission and supervisory experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code; 18 mos. exp. as licensed attorney; 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and enforce compliance with Cannabis Control regulations.
• Attend and manage 119 hearings and appeals.
• Provide in-house counsel guidance to compliance inspectors and supervisors.
