Job summary

Phat Panda is hiring a Cannabis Biomass Processor in Spokane Valley, WA to support extraction and production operations. The role focuses on receiving, inspecting, and preparing cannabis biomass for extraction, while maintaining accurate inventory and safety compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a production team.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in cold storage environments.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals while using required PPE.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Previous cannabis, manufacturing, laboratory, extraction, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming cannabis biomass and verify quantities against manifests and documentation.
• Weigh and document incoming biomass accurately.
• Inspect biomass for quality concerns, including mold, excess stems, fan leaves, water leaves, and other contaminants.
• Record biomass information accurately in inventory and tracking systems.
• Freeze, label, organize, and store biomass according to established procedures.
• Prepare cannabis biomass for extraction, including lot inspection, preparation, packing, and quality tracking.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using Bamboo and spreadsheets.
• Communicate with the extraction team regarding biomass availability and daily production priorities.
• Track, document, and report production waste in accordance with Washington State cannabis regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist with laboratory and production area setup and cleanup.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Assist with post-processing activities and other production tasks.
• Support research and development projects when needed.
• Follow company safety procedures, SOPs, and applicable cannabis regulations.
• Perform other duties related to cannabis processing and extraction as assigned.
