Job summary

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician in Alabama for both full-time and part-time roles. The position involves feeding, grooming, assisting with medications, and supporting veterinarians in a fast-paced kenneling environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining kennel cleanliness, collecting specimens, and ensuring safety and compliance. Weekend availability may be required, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Feed animals as prescribed by Kennel Manager.
• Groom and bath canines.
• Assist doctors and kennel manager with the administration of medications or with patient restraint.
• Assist Veterinarians.
• Collect urine and fecal specimens.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kennel area daily according to schedule (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Follow a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing with chemicals and supplies.
• Recognize and report unusual conditions or abnormal behavior.
• Participate in staff and training meetings; communicate with staff.
• Prioritize tasks and maintain safety consciousness.
• Maintain vigilance and keep busy and productive.
• Listen and follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with others and assist/train staff in kennel skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
