Job summary

Legacy Franchise Concepts, LP in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Canine Coach to support Dogtopia’s dog daycare, boarding and spa services. If you love dogs, you’ll help create a safe, fun environment and even train toward better canine citizenship. You may bring your own dog to work after training.

Qualifications

• Must love dogs.
• Standing for up to 100% of shift.
• Flexible days, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of large groups of dogs.
• Keep playrooms clean and tidy (mopping, sweeping, etc.).
• Ensure dogs are in a clean and safe environment.
• Perform meal prep with minimal guidance.
• Label and organize daycare/boarding belongings.
• Bathe dogs and clip nails as needed.
• Learn breed identification and dog behaviors.
• Report dog scuffles promptly for wound cleaning.
• Work with team to uphold care standards.
• Care for all dogs as if they were family.
• Engage with and supervise dogs during play.

What you'll do

• Maintain control of large groups of dog
• Keeping playrooms clean of messes at all timesCleaning includes mopping, sweeping, trash, and water refill
• Being proactive in making sure dogs are always in a clean and safe environment is key!
• Able to perform meal prep with little or no guidance
• Stores daycare and boarding belongings properly with correct labels
• Bathe and nail clip when needed (training is proved)
• Learn how to identify dog breeds and behaviors
• Report dog scuffles right when they occur for safe wound cleaning if needed
• Work with team to assure our quality of care sets the standards for dog care
• Caring for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family
• Engage, play, and enjoy the furry friends!

Qualifications

• Must love dogs
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing
• Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends
• Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment

Compensation:

$14 hourly
