Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Dekalb, Illinois is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team. The role offers $20.30 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match.

You will operate stand-up high-reach and dock lift equipment, perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting, and maintain accuracy under safety guidelines in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Flexible schedule on the various work shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during production shifts.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
