Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Dekalb, Illinois is hiring a Material Handler to join a fast-paced warehouse team. The role includes forklift operation, shipping/receiving, and cycle counting with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Compensation starts at $20.30 per hour with overtime at $30.45 and a $2.00 shift differential on E shift; weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, PTO from month 1, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Other duties as assigned.
