Job summary

Ferrara in Fairfield, CA is seeking a Packaging Operator for 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). You will own packaging equipment, perform setup, changeovers, adjustments, and maintenance to keep lines running safely and efficiently. You will record data using Redzone software and ensure quality in every package.

You must follow production schedules, inspect finished packages, and support continuous improvement. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot problems with all necessary process equipment.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operates packaging equipment and performs setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
• Directs production workers to ensure efficient operation of assigned equipment.
• Inspects production for compliance with package specifications.
• Records production data and completes quality checks using Redzone software.
• Performs packaging line tasks including packing, palletizing, and carton assembly.
• Performs changeovers as directed by supervisor or planner.
• Follows production schedules and manufacturing instructions.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness on the packaging line.
