Sanders Candy Co in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Candy Maker for the midnight shift (10:00 PM–7:00 AM) to join our production team at the Sanders Chocolate Factory, 23770 Hall Road, Clinton Township, MI 48036. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift premium.

Regular hours Sunday through Thursday, with potential overtime. Responsibilities include transferring caramel tubs, cleaning equipment, running the production line, and quality checks per GMP/QFS/OSHA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must read and write English proficiently.
• Previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Ability to work well with peers and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manually transferring cooled caramel tubs weighing approximately 50 lbs to production line.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy.
• Starting and continuing the production line using established guidelines.
• Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), QFS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.
• Tracking inventory using ERP system.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candy Maker assists in the creation of our famous confections . This position will be based out Sanders Chocolate Factory 23770 Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI 48036

Regular working hours areSunday through Thursday, 10:00pm to 7:00am, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $18.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Manually transferring cooled caramel tubs weighing approximately 50 lbs. each repeatedly to production line.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy.
• Starting and continuing the production line using established guidelines.
• Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.
• Tracking inventory using ERP system.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Preform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours
• Walking up and down stairs
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.
