Job summary

Second Nature Brands is seeking a Candy Maker to join the supply chain team at our Sanders Chocolate Factory in Clinton Township, MI. The role supports our growth through confection production, with responsibilities ranging from moving 50-lb tubs to quality checks and inventory tracking.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read/write English, and manufacturing experience. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm–7:00 am, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Manually transferring 50-lb caramel tubs to the production line.
• Cleaning and sanitizing candy-making equipment.
• Starting and continuing production lines per guidelines.
• Quality control of caramel squares (weight and uniformity).
• Follow GMP, QFS, and OSHA safety policies.
• Track inventory using ERP system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow to $1B over the next 2 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. We have an opening for a Candy Maker position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.

Candy Maker

Assists in the creation of our famous confections. This position will be based out Sanders Chocolate Factory 23770 Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI 48036.

Regular working hours are Sunday through Thursday, 10:00pm to 7:00am, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $18.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manually transferring cooled caramel tubs weighing approximately 50 lbs. each repeatedly to production line.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy.
• Starting and continuing the production line using established guidelines.
• Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.
• Tracking inventory using ERP system.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Preform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.

Work Environment
