Job summary

Inova Schar Cancer Institute seeks an OncoGeneralist Physician to lead our Cancer Survivorship program. This full-time role offers a competitive compensation package with sign-on and relocation assistance, and opportunities for CME support and loan/tuition assistance.

The OncoGeneralist provides specialized survivorship care for patients transitioning from active treatment, guiding a team of NPs/PAs and collaborating with primary care for ongoing health maintenance and cancer survivorship

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at start.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of NPs/PAs and physicians in survivorship care.
• Provide direct patient care and guide the survivorship program leadership.
• Develop and expand a system-wide survivorship model with education and pathways for primary care providers.
