Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, CA is seeking a Cancer Support Services Coordinator to bridge Medical Oncology and the Cancer Center, guiding programs that provide group and individual cancer support for patients, families, and staff.

You will recruit and supervise volunteers for the Companions for Oncology Patient Enrichment Program, market services to the community, and lead educational courses while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Masters in counseling or related field (i.e., M.F.C.C.,MSW, Psychology, etc.)
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as an MSW in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements community-focused programs that provide meaningful group and individual support mechanisms for cancer patients, families and staff.
• Facilitates dynamic support groups and educational courses to empower oncology patients, families, and professionals.
• Coordinates, selects and supervises volunteers in the Companions for Oncology Patient Enrichment Program.
• Markets Cancer Center services to the community and acts as liaison between clinical oncology teams and those they serve.
