The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is recruiting a full-time Chief of Medical Breast Oncology to join our team located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Cancer Institute Highlights

  • New state-of-the-art Academic Cancer Institute facility with on-site medical oncology and radiation oncology services; dedicated patient supportive services team to include but not limited to mid-levels, nurse navigator, dietitian, social worker and financial counselor.

Job Duties

  • The selected candidate will lead the Breast Medical Oncology program.
  • The physician will assist in leading a diverse team of professionals including breast medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists.
  • Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient care, clinical/translational research, education, and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Coordinate patient care plans for breast patients requiring both SOC and protocol-driven therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop robust clinical, translational, quality initiatives, and basic science research programs in a collaborative, state-of-the-art academic environment including cooperative groups. Dedicated research time, and clinical trial research team are available on site.

Job Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
  • Pennsylvania License upon hire.
  • PhD/MD Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
  • Completion of accredited residency and fellowship if required by specialty.
  • Current PA MD licensure in good standing; current unrestricted DEA certificate.
