Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks an experienced oncology nurse to coordinate care for adult hematology/oncology patients in Morgantown, WV. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and allied staff to ensure seamless delivery of services from diagnosis through survivorship.

The position requires an RN license, BLS, and oncology certification with preferred Bachelors of Nursing and 5+ years of oncology experience.

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state where services will be provided or multi-state license via eNLC.
Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
OCN or BMTCN certification required within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and delivers comprehensive cancer services for adult hematology/oncology patients.
Liaisons with physicians and hospital staff to ensure integrated patient care.
Maintains effective communication with patients, families, and referring centers.
Participates in financial and social work referrals and care planning.
Monitors patient flow and schedules across labs, clinics and infusion centers.
Engages in teaching patients and families, and supports staff development.
