Job summary

Harmar Mobility LLC is seeking a Territory Business Consultant to grow dealer partnerships and provide technical training for installation and service of home accessibility products. Travel up to 60% across Canada and the US will be required, with on-site and virtual training sessions.

You will assist dealers, conduct product training, and work with credit and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations while expanding the product line with Harmar/Pollock Elevators.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in a sales role, preferably with electrical and mechanical products.
  • Associate degree or trade certification in a technical field; or 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Well-organized, able to manage travel and prioritize multiple issues.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow current business in the assigned territory meeting or exceeding company objectives; develop new business in assigned territory by finding new customers and adding new product lines to existing customers.
  • Conduct training sessions (in-person in Sarasota, FL, virtually, or on-site at dealer locations in Canada)
  • Deliver phone and email support for installation, service, and product questions
  • Lead facility and field training for stairlift, vertical platform lifts, and elevator products
  • Create sales orders and process return material authorizations for repair parts
  • Assist technical support and training teams with special projects as needed

We’re currently seeking a Territory Business Consultant with technical knowledge in installation to help ensure our dealer partners are fully equipped to install, service, and support our innovative lift systems.

About the Role
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and execute the selling as well as provide tech support of home accessibility products to Canadian based dealers in accordance with company objectives and policies
  • Use relationship selling and assist customers in helping to grow their business with Harmar/Pollock Elevators and provide tech support for said products
  • Train and educate each customer and customer’s associates on product line marketing programs and advertising programs
  • Solve product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion
  • Work with Credit Manager with any credit issues that may exist in the territory;
  • Manage and maintain any sample inventory of products;
  • As a key member of our technical support and training team, you’ll provide in-person and virtual training, conduct on-site dealer visits, and deliver top-tier troubleshooting and support. This is a dynamic role involving regular travel (60%), hands-on instruction, and plenty of interaction with our valued partners.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead facility and field training for stairlift, vertical platform lifts, and elevator products
  • Create sales orders and process return material authorizations for repair parts
  • Help in the development and review of technical documents and training materials
  • Assist technical support and training teams with special projects as needed
Requirements
Key Accountabilities:
  • Able to work and travel for business in Canada and the US
  • Able to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills – written and verbal
  • Able to speak confidently in front of small groups
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Provide outstanding customer support, communicate with dealers via the phone, email, and face to face interpreting their concerns whether it is installation, service, technical support, or training issues.
  • Proficiency with digital tools: webinars, video, interactive learning
  • Proficient with the Google platform and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, or elevator systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Well-organized, able to manage travel and prioritize multiple issues
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
Experience & Education:
  • 3-5 years in a sales role, preferably with electrical and mechanical products
  • Associate degree or trade certification in a technical field; or 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
