JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Market Insights Research Analyst to support Global Market Strategists in macroeconomic and capital markets research with emphasis on Canada. The role requires strong English and French communication skills, a passion for economics, and experience in financial services.

You will produce the Canada Economic & Market Update in English and Canadian French, publish a weekly Canada brief, and contribute to the U.S. graphics/content.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and French.
• Three years of work experience in financial services preferred.
• Passion for economics and financial markets.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and style.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet or other data sources.
• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance or related major.
• CFA candidate or desire to pursue advanced degree/designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct macroeconomic and capital markets research focused on Canada.
• Produce Canada Economic & Market Update monthly in English and Canadian French.
• Carry out weekly Canada economic brief with commentary on data releases, currency and commodities.
• Conduct research on broader global economy and capital markets.
• Author the Weekly Market Recap highlighting key developments and team views.
• Assist in daily production of the U.S. Guide to the Markets content.
• Present team outlook on global economy and capital markets.
• Provide written responses to questions from clients and the sales force in a timely fashion.
• Present the Canada Economic & Market Update and U.S. Guide to the Markets to an internal audience.
• Record short-form videos for social media on key economic releases in English and Canadian French.
• Support Global Market Strategists on specific research initiatives.
• Work closely with the lead Global Market Strategist for Canada and conduct independent research.
