Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. seeks a diligent can assembly operator to join our production team. You will perform pre-production safety checks, set up and operate can assembly line equipment, and ensure product quality meets specifications.

The role requires a mechanical background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure an eight-hour shift with potential overtime. You will work with a collaborative team in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background required.
• Applicants will be tested for mechanical aptitude.
• Tools are required. The Company will furnish a basic tool list that is the minimum requirement for this position.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to establish and maintain a high level of organization/quality.
• Familiarity with computers; data entry/Microsoft programs.
• Ability to lift to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• This position also requires manual dexterity/fine motor skills.
• Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift; frequent overtime may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary pre-production safety checks.
• Follow all plant safety rules, SOP's, LOTO, and utilize required PPE at all times.
• Operate, set up, adjust, repair, and overhaul all can assembly line equipment and related equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity of production.
• Maintain all functions of the can assembly line.
• Perform all necessary quality checks to ensure the product meets documented quality requirements.
• Accept primary responsibility for the performance of the assigned equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Perform and document completed daily housekeeping; Work area is to be clean, orderly, and free of hazards at all times.
