Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a printer operator to support can production on the line. You will perform routine setup, cleaning, and daily tasks to ensure safe, quality cans are produced.

You will help with changeovers, participate in training new hires, and assist the lead during mechanical breakdowns. The role requires being on the line throughout the shift to optimize equipment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity required.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
• Strong mechanical skills and safety awareness essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and focused on safety and quality.
• Good time management and positive colleague relationships are important.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
• Complete and submit paperwork daily.
• Maintain PM documentation and perform daily/weekly checks.
• Record and report defect types using the 5 WHYs forms.
• Follow SOPs and meet quality standards.
• Keep the printer area clean, organized, and safe from hazards.
• Communicate with PM&R and shift supervisors about defects or electrical issues.
• Ensure all quality checks (blanket checks, 15-min checks) are done on time.
• Coordinate shift handover with incoming operators.
• Set up jobs properly for incoming changeovers.
• Check varnish coverage and perform muff le checks on each line.
• Ensure varnish viscosity meets standards.
