Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Camunda Engineer in Westlake, TX to design and implement cloud-native workflow solutions using Camunda and Java-based technologies. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience using Java and Spring Boot.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing workflow solutions using Camunda.
• Strong understanding of BPMN 2.0, workflow orchestration, process lifecycle management, and business process automation principles.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native workflow and automation solutions to replace legacy platforms.
• Design and implement enterprise business processes using Camunda.
• Modernize and optimize operational workflows for efficiency, scalability, and resiliency.
• Develop reusable services, APIs, and integrations for automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable automation.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and backend services that integrate with enterprise applications.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
