Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Utility Worker at Marquette University in Milwaukee to support kitchen and facility operations by keeping food production and service areas clean and organized. You will handle dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and maintaining sanitation across the facilities.

The role includes basic setup/breakdown tasks, lifting up to 35 pounds, and shifts on Weekdays in the afternoon/evening. Prior experience is not required, but knowledge of sanitation and food safety is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with specified chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Re-stocks supplies like soap and cleaning materials.
• May require significant walking or other mobility during shifts.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
