Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Experience in early childhood education, classroom instruction or assistance, tutoring, youth programs, or childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, engaging small-group tutoring, generally using a 3–4 students to 1 instructor model.
• Implement the Gideon reading and math curriculum and enrichment activities with fidelity.
• Assess and monitor individual student progress and assist with grouping and regrouping.
• Assist with initial, BOY, MOY, EOY, and other required student assessments.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, safe, and well‑managed learning environment.
• Assist with student drop‑off and pickup as required by the assigned campus.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, curriculum folders, attendance information, and required database entries.
• Assist with learning lab setup, daily operations, and shutdown.
• Support curriculum grading, individualized student learning paths, and student scheduling as assigned.
• Communicate professionally with Campus Managers, Beacon Hill staff, school personnel, students, families, and volunteers.
• Report student, campus, safety, performance, or operational concerns to the Campus Manager or appropriate Beacon Hill leadership in a timely manner.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, orientations, open houses, student celebrations, and end‑of‑year activities as scheduled.
• Assist with volunteer or staff training when requested.
• Assist other Beacon Hill team members as needed and as time allows.
