Job summary

Chapman University is seeking a Student Tutor for FALL 2026 to support students at the Tutoring & Learning Center. The role is in-person at the Orange campus with a fixed schedule of Monday through Thursday, 10 am–6 pm, minimum two-hour shifts.

You will promote TLC and create a welcoming learning environment for diverse students. Responsibilities include completing training, attending meetings, and keeping up-to-date knowledge of tutored courses while adhering to university policies and payroll

Qualifications

• Faculty recommendation required to verify subject matter knowledge; A or A- in the course to be tutored.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or better is required.

Responsibilities

• Commit to the weekly in-person tutoring schedule agreed upon with TLC staff.
• Tutor Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, minimum two-hour shifts.
• Complete training activities, promote the TLC, and maintain a welcoming learning environment.
• Attend orientation and meetings; complete all documentation on time.
• Stay up-to-date on tutored courses and tutor diverse student populations.
