Job summary

SST Hill Country College Prep in San Antonio, TX seeks a Teacher Fellow to provide classroom coverage and campus support. This full-time, non-exempt role acts as a talent pipeline for future teaching openings and contributes to district goals.

You will deliver instruction per lesson plans, manage student behavior, take attendance, and collaborate with experienced teachers. A Bachelor’s degree is required (or actively pursuing) and eligibility to enroll in a teacher certification program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives, using appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines
• Take attendance and complete required documentation
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise
• Perform any other duties as assigned
