Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at Tulane University.
• Enrollment in a course of study relevant to the TA duties.
• A valid grade in a prior course may be required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete instructional staff training prior to student arrival.
• Take attendance of class and sessions.
• Assist in maintaining classroom order.
• Work with individual or groups of students.
• Lead break activities and provide administrative assistance.
• Handle routine disciplinary problems and support health/safety protocols.
• Chaperone and assist with field experiences and logistics.
• Teach the course on occasion or hold sessions as requested by the instructor.
• Maintain master lists of course materials and track damaged equipment.
• Address student behavior issues while in the presence of staff.
• Assist program staff with tasks and program evaluation.
